I recently had the honor of photographing the U.S. wedding reception for my niece, Emily, and her Korean husband Cheon-Ji. Married in Korea, this beautiful couple hosted a fun and informal wedding reception at Trap Pond State Park in Delaware. Designed to help two families who speak different languages meet and have fun, Emily removed the language barrier and created a splendid event centered upon playing outdoor games. We played bocce ball (a nod to Emily's Italian heritage), life-sized Jenga, and Corn Hole (gosh, how this fun game has been so poorly named!) Laughter was the common language we all spoke that day, united in our love of these two spirited individuals. May their marriage be blessed, their lives long, and may their love shine bright always.
